नृशंसकारिणो भीरु यथैवोपहतं तथा ॥२६॥

Due to the deer's curse, O timid one, my power of procreation (prajanam) is indeed lost, as if destroyed, for me, who am an unrefined self (akṛtātman) and committed that cruel act.
