महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-111, verse-23

अपत्यं नाम लोकेषु प्रतिष्ठा धर्मसंहिता ।
इति कुन्ति विदुर्धीराः शाश्वतं धर्ममादितः ॥२३॥
23. apatyaṁ nāma lokeṣu pratiṣṭhā dharmasaṁhitā ,
iti kunti vidurdhīrāḥ śāśvataṁ dharmamāditaḥ.
23. apatyam nāma lokeṣu pratiṣṭhā dharma-saṃhitā
iti kunti viduḥ dhīrāḥ śāśvatam dharmam āditaḥ
23. O Kunti, an offspring (apatyam) is truly regarded among people in this world as an establishment (pratiṣṭhā) consistent with natural law (dharma). Thus, the wise (dhīrāḥ) have known this eternal law (dharma) from the very beginning.
