पाण्डुरुवाच ।
अप्रजस्य महाभागा न द्वारं परिचक्षते ।
स्वर्गे तेनाभितप्तोऽहमप्रजस्तद्ब्रवीमि वः ॥११॥

11. Pandu said: 'O revered ones, the scriptures do not declare a path to heaven for one who is without progeny. Therefore, I, being childless, am distressed, and for this reason, I speak to you.'
