स तथा विदुरेणोक्तस्तैश्च सर्वैर्द्विजोत्तमैः ।
न चकार तथा राजा पुत्रस्नेहसमन्वितः ॥३३॥

na cakāra tathā rājā putrasnehasamanvitaḥ.

33. Even though he was thus advised by Vidura and all those eminent Brahmins (dvijottama), the king, filled with affection for his sons, did not act accordingly.
