महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-107, verse-14

ततोऽब्रवीत्सौबलेयीं किमिदं ते चिकीर्षितम् ।
सा चात्मनो मतं सत्यं शशंस परमर्षये ॥१४॥
14. tato'bravītsaubaleyīṁ kimidaṁ te cikīrṣitam ,
sā cātmano mataṁ satyaṁ śaśaṁsa paramarṣaye.
14. tataḥ abravīt saubaleyīm kim idam te cikīrṣitam
sā ca ātmanaḥ matam satyam śaśaṃsa paramarṣaye
14. Then, he (Vyasa) addressed the daughter of Subala (Gandhari), asking, 'What is this that you intended to do?' And she truthfully reported her own view (ātman) to the great sage.
