योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-67, verse-21

न सच्छास्त्रेण सा विद्धि न सन्न्यायेन सा कला ।
अस्ति नास्त्यमितोद्योगाद्यदभ्यासान्न सिद्ध्यति ॥ २१ ॥
na sacchāstreṇa sā viddhi na sannyāyena sā kalā ,
asti nāstyamitodyogādyadabhyāsānna siddhyati 21
21. na sat-śāstreṇa sā viddhi na sat-nyāyena sā kalā
asti na asti amita-udyogāt yat abhyāsāt na siddhyati
21. viddhi sā kalā na sat-śāstreṇa na sat-nyāyena
na asti yat amita-udyogāt abhyāsāt na siddhyati
21. Know that such an art (kalā) is not achieved through good scripture (śāstra), nor through sound logic (nyāya). There is nothing that does not succeed through endless effort (udyoga) and practice (abhyāsa).
