mune! cetanam eva karmaṇām ādyam bījam ucyate tasmin sati,

O sage, consciousness is indeed declared to be the primordial seed of actions (karma). When that (consciousness) exists, the body (deha) arises like a great, multi-branched silk-cotton tree.
