योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-180, verse-20

अथ तेनोक्तमर्थस्ते क इवानेन तापस ।
अर्थे नातिविचित्रा हि भवन्तीच्छाः शरीरिणाम् ॥ २० ॥
atha tenoktamarthaste ka ivānena tāpasa ,
arthe nātivicitrā hi bhavantīcchāḥ śarīriṇām 20
20. atha tena uktam arthaḥ te kaḥ iva anena tāpasa
arthe na ativicitrā hi bhavanti icchāḥ śarīriṇām
20. atha tena uktam: he tāpasa,
anena kaḥ iva te arthaḥ? hi,
śarīriṇām icchāḥ arthe na ativicitrāḥ bhavanti.
20. Then he said, 'What is your concern with this, O ascetic? For indeed, the desires of embodied beings are not particularly unusual regarding their purpose.'
