The wind arrives, churning (valayan) and creating a dazzling display (vibhrama) of dancing whirlpools (āvarta-nartana) at the crests of waves (taraṅga-agra), which are agitated by exhausted great fish (tāmyat-timi). It is accompanied by pearls (mauktika) formed from the spray (sīkara) it expels (vānta).
