श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अत्र राघव वक्ष्येऽहमितिहासमिमं श्रृणु ।

1. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: 'O Rāghava, I will now narrate this story; listen to what transpired concerning a certain mendicant who possessed some thoughtfulness.'
