योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-41, verse-11

देहाभावे न दुःखानि देहे दुःखानि मे मतिः ।
इति चिन्ताविषव्याली मूर्खमेवावलुम्पति ॥ ११ ॥
dehābhāve na duḥkhāni dehe duḥkhāni me matiḥ ,
iti cintāviṣavyālī mūrkhamevāvalumpati 11
11. deha-abhāve na duḥkhāni dehe duḥkhāni me matiḥ
iti cintāviṣavyālī mūrkham eva avalumpati
11. me matiḥ (asti yat) deha-abhāve
duḥkhāni na (bhavanti) dehe
duḥkhāni (bhavanti) iti
cintāviṣavyālī mūrkham eva avalumpati
11. "When the body is absent, there are no sorrows; when the body exists, there are sorrows" — this is my thought. Such a serpent of poisonous thought afflicts only the fool.
