योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-22, verse-6

दासाः पुत्राः स्त्रियश्चैव बान्धवाः सुहृदस्तथा ।
हसन्त्युन्मत्तकमिव नरं वार्धककम्पितम् ॥ ६ ॥
dāsāḥ putrāḥ striyaścaiva bāndhavāḥ suhṛdastathā ,
hasantyunmattakamiva naraṃ vārdhakakampitam 6
6. dāsāḥ putrāḥ striyaḥ ca eva bāndhavāḥ suhṛdaḥ
tathā hasanti unmattakam iva naram vārdhakakampitam
6. dāsāḥ putrāḥ striyaḥ ca eva bāndhavāḥ suhṛdaḥ
tathā vārdhakakampitam naram unmattakam iva hasanti
6. Servants, sons, wives, relatives, and friends alike laugh at a man who is trembling due to old age, just as they would laugh at a madman.
