योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-22, verse-29

जराकर्पूरधवलं देहकर्पूरपादपम् ।
मुने मरणमातङ्गो नूनमुद्धरति क्षणात् ॥ २९ ॥
jarākarpūradhavalaṃ dehakarpūrapādapam ,
mune maraṇamātaṅgo nūnamuddharati kṣaṇāt 29
29. jarā-karpūra-dhavalam deha-karpūra-pādapam |
mune maraṇa-mātaṅgaḥ nūnam uddharati kṣaṇāt ||
29. mune! maraṇa-mātaṅgaḥ nūnam kṣaṇāt
jarā-karpūra-dhavalam deha-karpūra-pādapam uddharati
29. O sage, the elephant of death (maraṇa) certainly uproots in a moment the body, which is like a camphor tree, made white and pale by the camphor of old age (jarā).
