tāta! nṛṇām tanvī śukla-avayava-pallavā tanuḥ jarasā vakratām eti,

O dear father, just as a slender creeper bends low laden with flowers, so too does the slender body of men become crooked by old age (jarā), with its limbs like white shoots.
