योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-22, verse-28

जरसा वक्रतामेति शुक्लावयवपल्लवा ।
तात तन्वी तनुर्नृणां लता पुष्पानता यथा ॥ २८ ॥
jarasā vakratāmeti śuklāvayavapallavā ,
tāta tanvī tanurnṛṇāṃ latā puṣpānatā yathā 28
28. jarasā vakratām eti śukla-avayava-pallavā | tāta
tanvī tanuḥ nṛṇām latā puṣpa-ānatā yathā ||
28. tāta! nṛṇām tanvī śukla-avayava-pallavā tanuḥ jarasā vakratām eti,
yathā puṣpa-ānatā latā [eti]
28. O dear father, just as a slender creeper bends low laden with flowers, so too does the slender body of men become crooked by old age (jarā), with its limbs like white shoots.
