योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-22, verse-2

हिमाशनिरिवाम्भोजं वात्येव शरदम्बुकम् ।
देहं जरा नाशयति नदी तीरतरुं यथा ॥ २ ॥
himāśanirivāmbhojaṃ vātyeva śaradambukam ,
dehaṃ jarā nāśayati nadī tīrataruṃ yathā 2
2. himāśaniḥ iva ambhojam vāti iva śarad ambukam
deham jarā nāśayati nadī tīra-tarum yathā

2. Just as a hailstone destroys a lotus, or a strong wind disperses autumn clouds, and just as a river erodes a tree on its bank, so too does old age destroy the body.
