वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-49, verse-12

प्रकृत्या ह्येष तेजस्वी कुम्भकर्णो महाबलः ।
अन्येषां राक्षसेन्द्राणां वरदानकृतं बलम् ॥१२॥
12. prakṛtyā hyeṣa tejasvī kumbhakarṇo mahābalaḥ ,
anyeṣāṃ rākṣasendrāṇāṃ varadānakṛtaṃ balam.

anyeṣām rākṣasendrāṇām varadānakṛtam balam

12. Indeed, this Kumbhakarna possesses great prowess and immense strength by his very nature (prakṛti). The power of other lords of rākṣasas, however, is derived from boons.
