वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-19, verse-25

न ह्येष राघवस्यार्थे जीवितं परिरक्षति ।
एषैवाशंसते युद्धे निहन्तुं सर्वराक्षसान् ॥२५॥
25. na hyeṣa rāghavasyārthe jīvitaṃ parirakṣati ,
eṣaivāśaṃsate yuddhe nihantuṃ sarvarākṣasān.
25. na hi eṣaḥ rāghavasya arthe jīvitaṃ parirakṣati
eṣaḥ eva āśaṃsate yuddhe nihantuṃ sarva-rākṣasān
25. hi eṣaḥ rāghavasya arthe jīvitaṃ na parirakṣati
eṣaḥ eva yuddhe sarva-rākṣasān nihantuṃ āśaṃsate
25. For he does not protect his own life for the sake of Rāma. Rather, he desires only to destroy all the demons in battle.
