वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-19, verse-16

पतितस्य कपेरस्य हनुरेका शिलातले ।
किं चिद्भिन्ना दृढहनोर्हनूमानेष तेन वै ॥१६॥
16. patitasya kaperasya hanurekā śilātale ,
kiṃ cidbhinnā dṛḍhahanorhanūmāneṣa tena vai.

bhinnā dṛḍhahanuḥ hanumān eṣaḥ tena vai
16. One jaw of this fallen monkey was slightly broken on the rock surface. Due to this, this strong-jawed one is indeed (called) Hanumān.
