एष आशंसते लङ्कामेको मर्दितुमोजसा ।
यश्चैषो ऽनन्तरः शूरः श्यामः पद्मनिभेक्षणः ॥१८॥

18. eṣa āśaṃsate laṅkāmeko marditumojasā ,

18. This one (Rāma) intends to conquer Lanka alone with his mighty power. And this other hero, who stands next to him, is dark-complexioned and has eyes like lotuses.
