वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-29, verse-31

आनीतस्त्वमिमं देशमुपायेन महर्षिभिः ।
एषां वधार्थं क्रूराणां रक्षसां पापकर्मणाम् ॥३१॥
31. ānītastvamimaṃ deśamupāyena maharṣibhiḥ ,
eṣāṃ vadhārthaṃ krūrāṇāṃ rakṣasāṃ pāpakarmaṇām.
31. ānītaḥ tvam imam deśam upāyena maharṣibhiḥ
eṣām vadhārtham krūrāṇām rakṣasām pāpakarmaṇām
31. tvam imam deśam maharṣibhiḥ upāyena eṣām
krūrāṇām pāpakarmaṇām rakṣasām vadhārtham ānītaḥ
31. You were brought to this region by the great sages (maharṣi) through a stratagem, for the purpose of slaying these cruel rākṣasa-s, who perform evil deeds.
