वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-29, verse-24

ततः पावकसंकाशं बधाय समरे शरम् ।
खरस्य रामो जग्राह ब्रह्मदण्डमिवापरम् ॥२४॥
24. tataḥ pāvakasaṃkāśaṃ badhāya samare śaram ,
kharasya rāmo jagrāha brahmadaṇḍamivāparam.
