वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-13, verse-25

ऋत्विग्भिः सर्वमेवैतन्नियुक्तं शास्त्रतस्तदा ।
पशूनां त्रिशतं तत्र यूपेषु नियतं तदा ।
अश्वरत्नोत्तमं तस्य राज्ञो दशरथस्य ह ॥२५॥
25. ṛtvigbhiḥ sarvamevaitanniyuktaṃ śāstratastadā ,
paśūnāṃ triśataṃ tatra yūpeṣu niyataṃ tadā ,
aśvaratnottamaṃ tasya rājño daśarathasya ha.
25. ṛtvigbhiḥ sarvam eva etat niyuktam
śāstrataḥ tadā paśūnām triśatam
tatra yūpeṣu niyatam tadā aśvaratnottamam

25. Then, all this was indeed arranged by the priests (ṛtvigbhiḥ) according to the scriptures (śāstrataḥ). Three hundred animals were fastened there upon the sacrificial posts (yūpeṣu). And there was the finest jewel among horses (aśvaratnottamam) belonging to that King Dasharatha.
