मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-19, verse-5

सदैवाहं न मामेवमुपरोद्धुं त्वमर्हसि ।
अशक्तमुपकाराय शक्तमाराधयस्व भोः ॥५॥
5. sadaivāhaṃ na māmevamuparoddhuṃ tvamarhasi .
aśaktamupakārāya śaktamārādhayasva bhoḥ.
5. sadā eva aham na mām evam uparoddhum tvam arhasi
aśaktam upakārāya śaktam ārādhayasva bhoḥ
5. I am always like this; you should not try to detain me in this way. O! Propitiate someone capable of rendering assistance, not someone who is powerless.
