महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-42, verse-9

कारणं ब्रूहि कल्याणि किमर्थं ते ह्रदो ह्ययम् ।
एवमाकुलतां यातः श्रुत्वा पास्यामहे वयम् ॥९॥
9. kāraṇaṁ brūhi kalyāṇi kimarthaṁ te hrado hyayam ,
evamākulatāṁ yātaḥ śrutvā pāsyāmahe vayam.
9. kāraṇam brūhi kalyāṇi kimartham te hradaḥ hi
ayam evam ākulatām yātaḥ śrutvā pāsyāmahe vayam
9. kalyāṇi kāraṇam brūhi te ayam hradaḥ kimartham
evam ākulatām yātaḥ hi śrutvā vayam pāsyāmahe
9. O auspicious one, tell us the reason: why has this lake of yours become so agitated? Having heard [your explanation], we shall drink.
