The preceptor of the world (lokaguru), Brahmā, said to him, 'O lord of the gods (devendra), having sacrificed according to the prescribed rites in Aruṇā, perform ablutions, for that indeed removes the sin of killing a brāhmaṇa (brahmahatyā).'
