महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-42, verse-41

सेनापत्यं लब्धवान्देवतानां महासेनो यत्र दैत्यान्तकर्ता ।
साक्षाच्चात्र न्यवसत्कार्त्तिकेयः सदा कुमारो यत्र स प्लक्षराजः ॥४१॥
41. senāpatyaṁ labdhavāndevatānāṁ; mahāseno yatra daityāntakartā ,
sākṣāccātra nyavasatkārttikeyaḥ; sadā kumāro yatra sa plakṣarājaḥ.

mahāsenaḥ yatra daityāntakartā |
sākṣāt ca atra nyavasat kārttikeyaḥ
sadā kumāraḥ yatra saḥ plakṣarājaḥ
41. yatra mahāsenaḥ daityāntakartā
devatānām senāpatyam labdhavān yatra saḥ
kumāraḥ kārttikeyaḥ sadā atra sākṣāt
nyavasat saḥ plakṣarājaḥ (asti)
41. There, Mahāsena, the destroyer of Daityas, obtained the position of general of the gods. And in that very place, Kumāra Kārttikeya himself always resided. That is the lord of the Plakṣa trees.
