महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-42, verse-16

युष्माकं चाप्रसादेन दुष्कृतेन च कर्मणा ।
पक्षोऽयं वर्धतेऽस्माकं यतः स्म ब्रह्मराक्षसाः ॥१६॥
16. yuṣmākaṁ cāprasādena duṣkṛtena ca karmaṇā ,
pakṣo'yaṁ vardhate'smākaṁ yataḥ sma brahmarākṣasāḥ.
16. yuṣmākam ca aprasādena duṣkṛtena ca karmaṇā pakṣaḥ
ayam vardhate asmākam yataḥ sma brahmarākṣasāḥ
16. yuṣmākam ca aprasādena ca duṣkṛtena karmaṇā ayam
asmākam pakṣaḥ vardhate yataḥ vayam brahmarākṣasāḥ sma
16. And it is due to your displeasure and our own misdeeds (karma) that our faction grows, for we have become brahmarākṣasas.
