महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-42, verse-31

एवं स कृत्वा समयं सृष्ट्वा नीहारमीश्वरः ।
चिच्छेदास्य शिरो राजन्नपां फेनेन वासवः ॥३१॥
31. evaṁ sa kṛtvā samayaṁ sṛṣṭvā nīhāramīśvaraḥ ,
cicchedāsya śiro rājannapāṁ phenena vāsavaḥ.
31. evam sa kṛtvā samayam sṛṣṭvā nīhāram īśvaraḥ
ciccheda asya śiraḥ rājan apām phenena vāsavaḥ
31. rājan sa īśvaraḥ vāsavaḥ evam samayam kṛtvā
nīhāram sṛṣṭvā asya śiraḥ apām phenena ciccheda
31. O king, having thus made a pact (samaya) and created a mist, Indra, the lord, severed his head with the foam of the waters.
