मोक्षार्थं राक्षसानां च नदीं तां प्रत्यचोदयन् ॥२३॥

Then, those sages, whose wealth was asceticism (tapas), after purifying that sacred bathing place, directed that river [to flow] for the liberation (mokṣa) of the Rākṣasas.
