महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-40, verse-17

यदा चापि न शक्नोति राष्ट्रं मोचयितुं नृप ।
अथ वैप्राश्निकांस्तत्र पप्रच्छ जनमेजय ॥१७॥
17. yadā cāpi na śaknoti rāṣṭraṁ mocayituṁ nṛpa ,
atha vaiprāśnikāṁstatra papraccha janamejaya.

17. And when the king (Janamejaya) was unable to liberate his kingdom, then Janamejaya consulted the inquirers (vaiprāśnikas) there.
