महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-40, verse-1

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ब्रह्मयोनिभिराकीर्णं जगाम यदुनन्दनः ।
यत्र दाल्भ्यो बको राजन्पश्वर्थं सुमहातपाः ।
जुहाव धृतराष्ट्रस्य राष्ट्रं वैचित्रवीर्यिणः ॥१॥
1. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
brahmayonibhirākīrṇaṁ jagāma yadunandanaḥ ,
yatra dālbhyo bako rājanpaśvarthaṁ sumahātapāḥ ,
juhāva dhṛtarāṣṭrasya rāṣṭraṁ vaicitravīryiṇaḥ.

bakaḥ rājan paśvartham sumahātapāḥ | juhāva

sumahātapāḥ dālbhyaḥ bakaḥ vaicitravīryiṇaḥ
dhṛtarāṣṭrasya rāṣṭram paśvartham juhāva
1. Vaiśampāyana said: O King, the delight of the Yadus (Krishna) went to a place crowded with sages (brahmayonibhiḥ). There, Dalbhya Baka, a greatly ascetic sage, offered the kingdom of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the son of Citravīrya, as a Vedic ritual (yajña) for the sake of cattle.
