महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-38, verse-6

तत्र पूर्वं तपस्तप्तं काव्येन सुमहात्मना ।
यत्रास्य नीतिरखिला प्रादुर्भूता महात्मनः ।
तत्रस्थश्चिन्तयामास दैत्यदानवविग्रहम् ॥६॥

yatrāsya nītirakhilā prādurbhūtā mahātmanaḥ ,
tatrasthaścintayāmāsa daityadānavavigraham.

6. There, in ancient times, the greatly revered Kāvya performed severe asceticism (tapas). It was there that his entire system of moral and political wisdom emerged. While residing in that place, he pondered the ongoing conflict between the Daityas and Dānavas.
