महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-38, verse-17

स तु गत्वा ततस्तत्र तीर्थमौशनसं द्विजः ।
तत औशनसे तीर्थे तस्योपस्पृशतस्तदा ।
तच्छिरश्चरणं मुक्त्वा पपातान्तर्जले तदा ॥१७॥
17. sa tu gatvā tatastatra tīrthamauśanasaṁ dvijaḥ ,
tata auśanase tīrthe tasyopaspṛśatastadā ,
tacchiraścaraṇaṁ muktvā papātāntarjale tadā.

17. So that twice-born (dvija), having gone there to the Auśanasa sacred place (tīrtha), then, as he was bathing in that Auśanasa tīrtha, leaving his head and feet, he subsequently fell into the water.
