O King (rājan), it was there that the venerable (bhagavān) grandfather of the worlds (lokapitāmaha), Brahmā, created the worlds. And it was there that Arṣṭiṣeṇa, the scion of Kuru, the best of sages (ṛṣisattama) and firm in his vows, achieved brahminhood through great ascetic practice (tapas).
