योऽसौ रणे नरं नान्यं पृथिव्यामभिमन्यते ।
तस्याद्य सूतपुत्रस्य भूमिः पास्यति शोणितम् ।
गाण्डीवसृष्टा दास्यन्ति कर्णस्य परमां गतिम् ॥१४॥

14. yo'sau raṇe naraṁ nānyaṁ pṛthivyāmabhimanyate ,
tasyādya sūtaputrasya bhūmiḥ pāsyati śoṇitam ,
gāṇḍīvasṛṣṭā dāsyanti karṇasya paramāṁ gatim.
tasyādya sūtaputrasya bhūmiḥ pāsyati śoṇitam ,

14.
He who considers no other man on earth his equal in battle – today the earth will drink the blood of that son of a charioteer (sūtaputra). The arrows released from Gāṇḍīva will grant Karṇa his ultimate fate.
