महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-72, verse-34

ततो द्रोणं शिनेः पौत्रो ग्रसन्तमिव सृञ्जयान् ।
प्रत्यविध्यच्छितैर्बाणैः षड्विंशत्या स्तनान्तरे ॥३४॥
34. tato droṇaṁ śineḥ pautro grasantamiva sṛñjayān ,
pratyavidhyacchitairbāṇaiḥ ṣaḍviṁśatyā stanāntare.

34. Then, Śini's grandson (Satyaki) retaliated, striking Drona—who was (figuratively) devouring the Sṛñjayas—in the middle of his chest with twenty-six sharp arrows.
