महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-104, verse-25

किंचिद्विचलितः कर्णः सुप्रहाराभिपीडितः ।
ससायकं धनुः कृत्वा भीमं विव्याध मारिष ।
चिक्षेप च पुनर्बाणाञ्शतशोऽथ सहस्रशः ॥२५॥
25. kiṁcidvicalitaḥ karṇaḥ suprahārābhipīḍitaḥ ,
sasāyakaṁ dhanuḥ kṛtvā bhīmaṁ vivyādha māriṣa ,
cikṣepa ca punarbāṇāñśataśo'tha sahasraśaḥ.

25. Karṇa, slightly moved and greatly afflicted by the powerful blow, then, O respected one, prepared his bow with an arrow and pierced Bhīma. And then he again shot hundreds and thousands of arrows.
