महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-104, verse-10

व्याक्षिपन्बलवच्चापमतिमात्रममर्षणः ।
कर्णस्तु युद्धमाकाङ्क्षन्दर्शयिष्यन्बलं बली ॥१०॥
10. vyākṣipanbalavaccāpamatimātramamarṣaṇaḥ ,
karṇastu yuddhamākāṅkṣandarśayiṣyanbalaṁ balī.
10. vyākṣipan balavat cāpam atimātram amarṣaṇaḥ
karṇaḥ tu yuddham ākāṅkṣan darśayiṣyan balam balī
10. tu balī karṇaḥ atimātraṃ amarṣaṇaḥ balavat cāpaṃ
vyākṣipan yuddhaṃ ākāṅkṣan balaṃ darśayiṣyan
10. But the powerful Karṇa, exceedingly indignant, drawing his mighty bow with great force, desiring battle and intending to display his strength (bala).
