महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-104, verse-18

तस्य कर्णो महेष्वासः सायकांश्चतुरोऽक्षिपत् ।
असंप्राप्तांस्तु तान्भीमः सायकैर्नतपर्वभिः ।
चिच्छेद बहुधा राजन्दर्शयन्पाणिलाघवम् ॥१८॥

asaṁprāptāṁstu tānbhīmaḥ sāyakairnataparvabhiḥ ,
ciccheda bahudhā rājandarśayanpāṇilāghavam.

tu bhīmaḥ tān asaṃprāptān nataparvabhiḥ sāyakaiḥ bahudhā pāṇilāghavam darśayan ciccheda.
18. O King, Karṇa, the great archer, shot four arrows at him. But Bhīma, before they arrived, repeatedly cut those arrows into many pieces with his well-jointed arrows, thus displaying his dexterity of hand.
