महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-89, verse-36

नाराचाभिहतास्त्वन्ये तथा विद्धाश्च तोमरैः ।
हतारोहा व्यदृश्यन्त विशृङ्गा इव पर्वताः ॥३६॥
36. nārācābhihatāstvanye tathā viddhāśca tomaraiḥ ,
hatārohā vyadṛśyanta viśṛṅgā iva parvatāḥ.
36. nārāca-abhihatāḥ tu anye tathā viddhāḥ ca tomaraiḥ
hata-ārohāḥ vyadṛśyanta viśṛṅgāḥ iva parvatāḥ
36. anye tu nārāca-abhihatāḥ tathā tomaraiḥ viddhāḥ
hata-ārohāḥ viśṛṅgāḥ parvatāḥ iva vyadṛśyanta
36. But other (elephants), struck by iron arrows and similarly pierced by lances, appeared with their riders slain, like mountains without peaks.
