महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-68, verse-16

नैव खं न दिशो राजन्न सूर्यं शत्रुतापन ।
विदिशो वाप्यपश्याम शरैर्मुक्तैः समन्ततः ॥१६॥
16. naiva khaṁ na diśo rājanna sūryaṁ śatrutāpana ,
vidiśo vāpyapaśyāma śarairmuktaiḥ samantataḥ.
16. na eva kham na diśaḥ rājan na sūryam śatrutāpana
vidiśaḥ vā api apaśyāma śaraiḥ muktaiḥ samantataḥ
16. rājan śatrutāpana kham na eva diśaḥ na sūryam na vā

16. O King, tormentor of foes, we could not see the sky, nor the cardinal directions, nor the sun, nor even the intermediate directions, as they were completely obscured everywhere by the released arrows.
