महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-20, verse-18

तमहं कुपिता भीम पुनः कोपं नियम्य च ।
अब्रुवं कामसंमूढमात्मानं रक्ष कीचक ॥१८॥
18. tamahaṁ kupitā bhīma punaḥ kopaṁ niyamya ca ,
abruvaṁ kāmasaṁmūḍhamātmānaṁ rakṣa kīcaka.
18. tam aham kupitā bhīma punaḥ kopam niyamya ca
abruvam kāmasaṃmūḍham ātmanam rakṣa kīcaka
18. Though I was angered, O fearful Kīcaka, I again restrained my wrath and said to him, who was utterly bewildered by lust, 'Protect your own self (ātman)!'
