महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-58, verse-31

अवैमि चाहं नृपते न त्वं मां त्यक्तुमर्हसि ।
चेतसा त्वपकृष्टेन मां त्यजेथा महापते ॥३१॥
31. avaimi cāhaṁ nṛpate na tvaṁ māṁ tyaktumarhasi ,
cetasā tvapakṛṣṭena māṁ tyajethā mahāpate.
31. avaimi ca aham nṛpate na tvam mām tyaktum arhasi
cetasā tu apakṛṣṭena mām tyajethāḥ mahāpate
31. And I know, O king, that you ought not to abandon me. Yet, O great lord, you might abandon me with a distraught mind.
