महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-29, verse-18

मित्रैः सह विरोधं च प्राप्नुते तेजसावृतः ।
प्राप्नोति द्वेष्यतां चैव लोकात्स्वजनतस्तथा ॥१८॥
18. mitraiḥ saha virodhaṁ ca prāpnute tejasāvṛtaḥ ,
prāpnoti dveṣyatāṁ caiva lokātsvajanatastathā.

18. A person overcome by excessive intensity or anger attains conflict with friends. Moreover, he earns enmity from the general populace as well as from his own relatives.
