महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-29, verse-14

अप्यस्य दारानिच्छन्ति परिभूय क्षमावतः ।
दाराश्चास्य प्रवर्तन्ते यथाकाममचेतसः ॥१४॥
14. apyasya dārānicchanti paribhūya kṣamāvataḥ ,
dārāścāsya pravartante yathākāmamacetasaḥ.
14. api asya dārāḥ icchanti paribhūya kṣamāvataḥ |
dārāḥ ca asya pravartante yathākāmam acetasaḥ
14. Even his wives wish to overpower and disregard the patient (kṣamāvataḥ) man. And these unwise wives behave however they please.
