महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-67, verse-22

मनुरुवाच ।
बिभेमि कर्मणः क्रूराद्राज्यं हि भृशदुष्करम् ।
विशेषतो मनुष्येषु मिथ्यावृत्तिषु नित्यदा ॥२२॥
22. manuruvāca ,
bibhemi karmaṇaḥ krūrādrājyaṁ hi bhṛśaduṣkaram ,
viśeṣato manuṣyeṣu mithyāvṛttiṣu nityadā.
22. manuḥ uvāca bibhemi karmaṇaḥ krūrāt rājyam hi
bhṛśaduṣkaram viśeṣataḥ manuṣyeṣu mithyāvṛttiṣu nityadā

22. Manu said, 'I fear this harsh task (karma); indeed, kingship is exceedingly difficult, especially always among humans who engage in false conduct.'
