महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-67, verse-2

भीष्म उवाच ।
राष्ट्रस्यैतत्कृत्यतमं राज्ञ एवाभिषेचनम् ।
अनिन्द्रमबलं राष्ट्रं दस्यवोऽभिभवन्ति च ॥२॥
2. bhīṣma uvāca ,
rāṣṭrasyaitatkṛtyatamaṁ rājña evābhiṣecanam ,
anindramabalaṁ rāṣṭraṁ dasyavo'bhibhavanti ca.
2. bhīṣmaḥ uvāca rāṣṭrasya etat kṛtyatamam rājñaḥ eva
abhiṣecanam anindram abalam rāṣṭram dasyavaḥ abhibhavanti ca

2. Bhishma spoke: "This, the consecration (abhiṣecanam) of a king, is the most essential duty for the kingdom. For a kingdom without a ruler and thus weak, dacoits overpower it."
