महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-285, verse-4

सुक्षेत्राच्च सुबीजाच्च पुण्यो भवति संभवः ।
अतोऽन्यतरतो हीनादवरो नाम जायते ॥४॥
4. sukṣetrācca subījācca puṇyo bhavati saṁbhavaḥ ,
ato'nyatarato hīnādavaro nāma jāyate.
4. sukṣetrāt ca subījāt ca puṇyaḥ bhavati saṃbhavaḥ
ataḥ anyatarataḥ hīnāt avaraḥ nāma jāyate

4. From a good field and from good seed, virtuous progeny (saṃbhava) is born. But from either of these being inferior, an inferior one is indeed born.
