कानि कर्माणि धर्म्याणि लोकेऽस्मिन्द्विजसत्तम ।
न हिंसन्तीह भूतानि क्रियमाणानि सर्वदा ॥३५॥

kāni karmāṇi dharmyāṇi loke'smindvijasattama ,
na hiṁsantīha bhūtāni kriyamāṇāni sarvadā.

Janaka said: 'O best among the twice-born, what are those righteous actions (karma), conforming to natural law (dharma), in this world, which, when performed, never harm any beings (bhūta)?'
