महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-226, verse-8

यत्पृथिव्यां पुण्यतमं विद्यास्थानं तदावसेत् ।
यतेत तस्मिन्प्रामाण्यं गन्तुं यशसि चोत्तमे ॥८॥

8. yatpṛthivyāṁ puṇyatamaṁ vidyāsthānaṁ tadāvaset ,
yateta tasminprāmāṇyaṁ gantuṁ yaśasi cottame.

8. One should reside in that center of learning (vidyāsthāna) which is the most sacred on earth. One should strive to achieve authority (prāmāṇya) there and attain the highest renown.
